Disclaimer
ExcelAnalyzer describes the workbook you choose. It does not change that file, and a result is not a certificate that the workbook is safe, correct, or complete.
What a result is
The checks read the package in your browser. They report size, used range, pivot caches, formatting, formulas, names, links, sheet visibility, a VBA inventory, and whether the ZIP and XML parts look intact. The audit score is the sum of those readings after capped deductions. It is an explanation of the file, not a grade you can rely on for a business decision by itself.
What a result is not
- It is not a repair. ExcelAnalyzer does not edit, recover, or convert the workbook.
- It is not antivirus, a sandbox, or a security audit. A quiet macro inventory is not permission to enable content.
- It is not a recalculation. Cached errors are the values stored in the file, not a fresh Excel calculation.
- It is not complete for .xlsb formulas, and it does not read legacy .xls files.
- It does not open passwords. An encrypted workbook is reported as locked.
- An advertisement, if ads are turned on, does not vouch for the file or the score.
Your responsibility
You choose the file, you decide what to change in Excel, and you keep your own copy. Work on a duplicate before you delete rows, names, caches, or pictures. Use your organization’s normal controls before you enable macros. If a result and what you see in Excel disagree, trust the file you can open and send a note from the contact page.
